[edit] Overview

How can we restore as much of the campus as possible to a functioning ecosystem?

[edit] Prime Actions

  • Increasing awareness of the university's ecological issues by creating and distributing a pamphlet highlighting invasive and native plants commonly found on campus
  • Promoting and organizing the planting and transplanting of native species on campus. Priority area: Elliot Naturescape
  • Organizing weed pulls on campus. Priority area: the South Woods
  • Forming collaborative relationships with related groups such as Facilities Management, Finnerty Gardens and the Restoration of Natural Systems Program
  • Creating a native plant stall in collaboration with the Thursday Pocket Market to provide financially accessible native starter plants to the university community
