Joe: bread Caitlin: tomato prawn soup Lindsay: pesto pizza (wiht fresh made pesto!) Brianne: chickpea curry
[edit] What projects do peoples interests lie with?
- proposals - pretty much done
- CJVI - Karin, Tessa, Brianne, Caitlin
- 2 grants available: Dash ($1000) and Epicure ($5000)
- meeting next week to put together things before meeting with the profs (scheduled for before this meeting)
- can also apply to UVSP for grant (maybe up to $1000)
- we have ~$2000 from the sale of calendars
- Caitlin: there would be a happy marriage between a farm and a compost program (add this to proposals)
- Festival - Joe, Laura, Matt, Colin
- won't be able to advertise by putting stuff in rez rooms, but can set up table near where students sign into rez
- Can get a feature done by the Martlett
- Make it easy by having other food groups get people to sign up as well
- email weekly specials out to all those who have signed up
- have a local special each day at each of the food outlets on campus
- bike to the farm on the weekends
- movie night
- website where people can write advice for each other, etc
- groups to ask to get involved: chefs, Fruit tree, CG could do workshops,
- ask James McKinnon to speak
- contact other universities and colleges to share our ideas
- take trips to different places to find local food sources
- local wine and beer tastings - involve local brewers
- High schools - Matthew, Joe
- Disposables - on hold for now
- Compost - Brianne
