Present: Dylan, Megan, Emily, Matt, Lindsay, Brianne, Joe (notetaker)

Meeting start 4:40PM

Update:

  • Joe: talked about the working of the ERC (very good and more advanced than we thought) composting is good etc. His notes are in chapter draft, upcoming meeting with GSS,
  • Lindsay: looked into the areas for rooftop gardens, and the Community Garden.
  • Megan: talked with some members (W. Martin is one) of Community Garden to meet up with they sound interested. Talked with Ken Babich and things are on-going to get a food purchasing group going on with some of his staff. Caitlin will be involved. Meeting tomorrow about edible landscaping/urban ag. also has invited other important people in this area. Feels is best to come with a complete front. She talked about the IAT and it's implications. Seems to not be a problem. U of T has a 'local food purchasing agreement'. Megan is going to field opportunities for experiential learning research.
  • Dylan: met with TeamFAST and one ActNow member about composting. Saw overlap with ERC actions. These people are definitely in our favour. Talked about local as well, wanted graduated scheme for bringing local food into the system.
  • Emily: Here to help with the two page drafting
  • Brianne: Here to help with the two page drafting
