Food issues in high school sustainability courses
From Common Energy UVic
Back to the Food Working Group main page
The Food Issues in High School Sustainability Courses is a project designed to get one of the most important issues facing our society into classrooms. Food has many issues that surround it from organic vs. conventional, local vs. distant to nutrition, ethics, processing etc. This project will work with members of the Education department at UVic to get UVic Education students to shape projects exploring food issues. The outcomes of these projects will form course materials to be delivered to high school (and possibly elementary) teachers.
If you have an interest in food issues and education, please email us at food 'at' uvic.commonenergy.org to get involved.
