One of Common Energy's core principles is that to tackle climate change, we need a collaborative process that engages as many people as possible. There are many ways to contribute - we need you!

[edit] Ways to Get Involved

Common Energy spent a year and a half collaboratively developing a beyond climate-neutral Guide. With the Guide complete we are now launching the goBEYOND project with the Campus Climate Network.

goBEYOND has four pillars:

  1. Challenges - a viral challenge to go beyond climate-neutral in your own life. The key to building the movement.
  2. Planning - collaborating to move our university beyond climate-neutral. Getting involved in the planning, and mobilizing others to become involved to.
  3. Education - learning by solving problems that will serve communities. Transforming how we're taught and who we help.
  4. Trainning - skilling up and working out. Training focuses on coordination, communication, research, and facilitation.

We are launching the project and so we are starting with one Weekly Meeting. These will generally be on Wednesday at 4:30PM in the Grad Lounge.

We are looking for people that want to get involved with goBEYOND. We will train people in the following areas:

  1. Communicators - media, outreach, stunts.
  2. Coordinators - logistics, events, management.
  3. Researchers - developing, testing, evaluating.
  4. Facilitation - the foundation for effective groups.
