Milestone 4: Creating an Action Plan

Milestone 4 of Phase 1 represents Creating an Action Plan to reduce emissions as part of the University Challenge Project, and is being currently being refined within the University Challenge Draft Document.

The Action Plan will be divided into categories for each Phase. Phase 1 categories are: ( currently being developed )

• The action plan may also be posted online for feedback and to disseminate ideas.
• Organize by sector and direct vs. embodied– e.g. energy, transportation, paper and supplies, buildings, waste…
• Step-by-step actions to follow – Common Energy will help guide the implementation of the actions chosen if needed.
• Common Energy will collaborate with Facilities to ensure that teams are not givin actions that they will not be able to carry out and will find barriers to implementing.
• Create a time line for implementation of actions – CE could provide a suggested/model time line and list of things to consider when creating time line
• Create a budget template for implementation.
