Caitlin read and approved the minutes. Heather called for consensus - consensus made.

[edit] Movie Night Planning

Debated if we should have the meeting this week. Heather explained it would be easy to put it on again, as the infrastructure is established. Caitlin mentioned if we use the same format, it wont really accomplish our goals of recruitment or fundraising.

Heather: we could use it as an appreciation night.

Decided that we want this to be a bigger event, and thus it needs to be on campus ie accessible. Start in August.


DECISION: we will not be doing a movie night in July.

DECISION: Eddie to be the lead organizer on the movie nights through the fall.

August 14, September 18, October 16, November 20.

ACTION: Mark to find licensing.

ACTION: Eddie to make a list possible movies (include rating).

ACTION: Mark to book rooms. First choice HHB 105, DSB 105.

[edit] Overview of volunteer appreciation strategy

Heather gave a summary of the discussion from the last meeting. Perhaps coordinators and facilitators doing small things. the last week of July may be nice. Mark explained that we need to appreciate the coordinators before we ask them to appreciate the working groups.

How do we appreciate people? Brainstorm: baked goods.

ACTION: Heather to send email to team facilitators to ask them to provide baked goods for the meetings next week, so the following week coordinators can consider doing the same for their working groups.

[edit] SUB Sustainability Board

The board is to the right of ZAP, in a very central location for students. It is meant to allow people to find out about sustainability initiatives. The team debated. Eddie has taken initiative to design to poster. What size do we want, and what do we want it to include?

What should we include? What is Common Energy? Working groups; how do we operate; timeline, including September conference; pictures and diagrams; contact info; integrative projects.

After much discussion, we decided that a simple, aesthetically pleasing poster would be the most effective.

ACTION: Mark to send eddie recruitment pamphelts.

ACTION: Eddie to create a draft of the poster and circulate by email.

DEADLINE: Poster on poster board by next Wednesday.

DECISION: Classroom speaking in September and Club and Course Union days - use a similar format to what we used in June. Needs to be organized well. Heather to be the lead.

DECISION: Movie nights - Ed to be the lead. Felicita's Fundraising - need to find organizers.
